We are looking for a Janitorial and Facilities Assistant to join our growing organization! This role will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and well-functioning distribution center. This role primarily focuses on janitorial services while also serving as the on-site liaison for safety initiatives, vendor access, and general facility oversight. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of identifying and addressing facility needs before they become issues.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1–3 years of janitorial, facilities, warehouse, or related experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and safety practices
- Ability to identify facility, maintenance, and safety concerns and communicate them effectively
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Proficient in basic computer applications such as email and Microsoft Office
- Experience performing minor facility repairs and using common hand and power tools preferred
- Demonstrated ability to perform custodial duties, basic facility repairs, and facility inspections
- Experience supporting safety programs preferred
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of OSHA and workplace safety principles preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform daily janitorial and housekeeping duties
- Conduct routine facility and safety inspections
- Coordinate vendor access and oversee contracted services
- Report and track facility maintenance issues
- Restock supplies and maintain inventory levels
- Complete minor maintenance and repair tasks to support facility operations and appearance
- Ability to obtain forklift certification
- Onsite Safety Liaison
