Janitorial Cleaner
About The Position
ABM is seeking a reliable and experienced Janitorial Cleaner to perform a variety of cleaning duties and maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment across assigned facilities. The role supports workplace appearance and sanitation and contributes to a positive experience for employees, clients, and visitors. The posting lists two full-time schedules: Tuesday and Wednesday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, and Thursday and Friday, 4:00 PM–12:30 AM; or Saturday through Wednesday, 10:00 AM–6:30 PM. The pay rate is $19.00 per hour. ABM notes that a specific offer may vary based on experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and market data.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety standards.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in janitorial, custodial, or general cleaning roles is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing floors and surfaces.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenish supplies, and ensure hygiene standards are met.
- Empty trash and recycling bins and dispose of waste in accordance with company policies.
- Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces.
- Maintain and properly store cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages to the supervisor.
- Assist with setup and cleanup for meetings, events, or special projects as needed.
- Follow safety procedures and company protocols related to cleaning and sanitation.
