Janitorial Cleaner
About The Position
ABM is seeking a reliable and experienced Janitorial Cleaner to perform a variety of cleaning duties across assigned facilities, maintaining a clean, safe, orderly, and sanitary workplace for employees, clients, and visitors. The role is described as suitable for someone entering or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education. Veterans and candidates with military experience are encouraged to apply. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Pay is $15.00. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in janitorial, custodial, or general cleaning roles is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety standards.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing floors and surfaces.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenish supplies, and ensure hygiene standards are met.
- Empty trash and recycling bins and dispose of waste according to company policies.
- Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces.
- Maintain and properly store cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages to the supervisor.
- Assist with setup and cleanup for meetings, events, or special projects as needed.
- Follow safety procedures and company protocols related to cleaning and sanitation.
