About The Position

ABM is seeking a reliable, experienced Janitorial Cleaner to perform cleaning duties across assigned facilities and help maintain a clean, safe, orderly, and sanitary workplace. The role supports a positive experience for employees, clients, and visitors. The position is located in Independence, Ohio, pays $16.50 per hour with weekly pay, and is scheduled Tuesday and Thursday nights for two hours each night. The employer notes that the role may suit someone entering or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education, and encourages veterans and candidates with military experience to apply.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience in janitorial, custodial, or general cleaning roles is a plus.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety standards.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing floors and surfaces.
Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenish supplies, and maintain hygiene standards.
Empty trash and recycling bins and dispose of waste according to company policies.
Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces.
Maintain and properly store cleaning equipment and supplies.
Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and supply shortages to the supervisor.
Assist with setup and cleanup for meetings, events, or special projects as needed.
Follow safety procedures and company cleaning and sanitation protocols.
