Janitorial Cleaner
About The Position
ABM is seeking a reliable, experienced Janitorial Cleaner to perform a variety of cleaning duties across assigned facilities. The role helps maintain a clean, safe, orderly, and sanitary workplace, contributing to a positive experience for employees, clients, and visitors. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday, 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The listed hourly pay range is $12.77–$17.00. A specific offer may vary based on experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and market data alignment. This may be a good role for someone entering or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education. ABM encourages veterans and candidates with military experience to apply.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in janitorial, custodial, or general cleaning roles is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety standards.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing floors and surfaces.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenish supplies, and ensure hygiene standards are met.
- Empty trash and recycling bins and handle waste in accordance with company policies.
- Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces.
- Maintain and properly store cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages to the supervisor.
- Assist with setup and cleanup for meetings, events, or special projects as needed.
- Follow safety procedures and company protocols related to cleaning and sanitation.
