About The Position

Marsden Services, established in 1952, provides comprehensive facility services nationwide, including janitorial, security, HVAC, calibration, emergency response, and facility management. The Account Manager oversees a team executing a high level of customer care and drives the company's Leadership Engagement Growth & Safety (LEGS) strategy. This role is responsible for all daily operations of the team, ensuring a safe and respectful work environment.

Requirements

  • Understanding of budgeting, labor, and expense management with a basic understanding of financial and accounting practices.

  • Janitorial, distribution services, or other service-related industry experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide leadership with responsibility for a decentralized workforce.

Responsibilities

  • Directs and manages key operational functions.
  • Develops and maintains relationships of trust and engagement with on-site clients.
  • Ensures standards for service quality, equipment, safety, and performance are maintained, utilizing cost-effective resources to maximize service standards.
  • Implements processes and structure in alignment with strategic initiatives, providing clear direction and focus.
  • Develops, monitors, and reports on operating costs within functional areas, alerting stakeholders to cost and labor overruns, and recommending/implementing solutions.
  • Builds a culture of work safety and leads by example with safe behavior.
  • Hires, trains, develops, and appraises staff effectively, taking corrective action as necessary.
  • Conducts regular operations staff/training meetings with direct reports.
  • Manages budget and controls expenses effectively using a Microsoft Office-based cost management system to audit labor, supplies, leases, and equipment.
