About The Position

The Janitorial Account Manager will supervise, train, and manage a team of custodians and janitorial staff. This role involves overseeing daily cleaning and maintenance activities to ensure facilities are clean, sanitary, and well-maintained. The position also requires ensuring compliance with safety regulations, managing the custodial services budget, and maintaining inventory of supplies and equipment. Effective communication with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders is crucial for addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction. The role also involves preparing and presenting reports on grounds maintenance activities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in custodial or janitorial services
  • At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role
  • Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment.
  • Experience with custodial management software and tools.
  • Valid Driver’s License

  • Degree in facilities management, hospitality, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and assign daily tasks and projects, ensuring efficient use of resources and timely completion of work.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and coaching to team members.
  • Oversee daily cleaning and maintenance activities to ensure the facility is clean, sanitary, and well-maintained.
  • Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures, including floor care, window washing, restroom sanitation, and trash removal.
  • Inspect work areas regularly to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to custodial services and workplace safety.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to protect staff and facility occupants.
  • Conduct regular safety training and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Manage the custodial services budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, ordering materials as needed to support operations.
  • Monitor and control expenses to stay within budgetary constraints.
  • Collaborate with other departments and facility management to coordinate grounds maintenance activities and support facility events and projects.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders to address concerns and ensure satisfaction.
  • Prepare and present reports on grounds maintenance activities, progress, and issues to management.
