About The Position

We are seeking friendly and energetic janitorial staff to work in an elementary school. This is a full-time position Monday to Friday from 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM. Janitorial experience required, must be able to pass a thorough Georgia state criminal background check, which includes fingerprinting.

Requirements

• Janitorial experience required
• Must be able to pass a thorough Georgia state criminal background check, which includes fingerprinting.
• Willingness to work early morning or late night shifts
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
• Capacity to take direction
• Strong attention to detail
• Physically capable of lifting and moving objects up to 30 pounds as necessary
• Physically capable of walking up to 3 miles
• Physically capable of bending, stooping and reaching up

Responsibilities

• Perform general clean up of all areas of the building as directed. Including areas such as bathrooms, offices, classrooms, gymnasiums, and auditoriums daily.
• Manage routine upkeep of exterior areas, green space and/or parking lots
• Complete non-routine cleaning according to specified job orders
• Remove garbage and recycling daily and prepare bins for weekly pick-up
• Handle emergency cleaning and upkeep requests
• Ensure rooms are maintained and fully equipped
