Part-Time Position – Coverage for Absences, Vacations & Special Assignments

We are currently seeking a reliable and flexible candidate for a Part-Time position responsible for covering employee absences, vacations, and special assignments based on operational needs.

Work hours and schedule will be flexible depending on business needs.

Valid driver’s license
Personal vehicle registered under the employee’s name
Flexible availability
Reliable, punctual, and service-oriented attitude

POSITION SUMMARY

The Janitor will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization in a federal facility while ensuring safety and compliance standards are met. This role requires flexibility, strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Personal vehicle registered under the employee’s name
• Flexible availability
• Reliable, punctual, and service-oriented attitude
• Previous experience in janitorial services
• Familiarity with janitorial tools and equipment
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Must be able to pass background check (Position is in Federal Facility)
• Applicants must be able to work flexible hours including holidays, and weekends.
• Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team.
• Must be physically capable of lifting to 50 lbs., walking, standing, squatting, kneeling frequently

Responsibilities

• Some basic janitorial reporting like, cleaning inspections, inventory, and others
• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, or scrubbing
• Clean windows and mirrors, and supply restrooms
• Remove waste and empty trash cans
• Maintain cleaning cart indicating areas that were cleaned and inspected
• Replenish cleaning and maintenance supplies
• Organize janitorial storages areas
• Notify Supervisors about unsafe or concerning conditions that need repairs or maintenance
• Vacuuming carpets and mats, sweeping/moping floor, and tile cleaning
