About The Position

New Way Trucks is seeking a Janitor to join their manufacturing team in Scranton, Iowa. This role is responsible for the daily cleanliness of the front office and the general housekeeping of the facility. The Janitor will clean and maintain all departments, including offices, conference rooms, break rooms, restrooms, and other operational areas. Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, dusting, disinfecting, emptying waste baskets, and reporting maintenance needs or damages.

Requirements

Must be able to read, understand, and follow labels/instructions for proper use of cleaning products and supplies.
Strong attention to detail.
Able to handle a high volume of work with little supervision.
Ability to maintain regular attendance in accordance with company attendance policies.

Nice To Haves

Prior custodial experience a plus.
Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others as well as independently.

Responsibilities

Clean and maintain all departments including but not limited to offices, conference rooms, break rooms, restrooms, and all other operational areas.
Maintain building cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting daily.
Clean the entrances and exits of the work areas by keeping them free of garbage, snow, and debris.
Routinely empty waste baskets and garbage cans.
Perform and/or report all maintenance repairs.
Report damages and acts of vandalism in all areas of the facility.
