Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or greater
- Read, write, and speak basic English
- Ability to work in a lead acid battery manufacturing plant
- Ability to lift 50 pounds

Responsibilities
- Perform detailed and thorough cleaning of plant areas: lunchroom, showers, locker room; around workstations and in walkways and grounds with efficiency, speed and accuracy.
- Complete record keeping associated with inspections and environmental documents.
- Perform the role safely and can wear all required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Understand and practice Trojan Battery Quality Policies
- Operate various cleaning equipment (Nilfisk Vacuum, hydro-retriever, sweepers, etc.)
- Perform preventive maintenance on cleaning equipment, under supervision
- Perform light maintenance duties: paint walls and doors, carpentry, light repairs, and replacing lights in any and all areas
- Collect coveralls and towels for pickup by cleaning service
- Operate cardboard compactor machine
- Follow and maintain good housekeeping and hygiene practices
- Available for various shifts, and overtime
- Understand specifications and labels associated with hazardous material
