About The Position
The Janitor maintains a clean, safe, and organized manufacturing facility to support efficient operations and a healthy work environment. Performance must reflect appropriate level of expertise and achievement of the desired results for the items listed below: Maintains a clean, safe, and organized manufacturing facility by performing routine cleaning of floors, work areas, restrooms, and common spaces; supporting equipment and production area hygiene; following safety and compliance guidelines; managing cleaning supplies; and coordinating with teams to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
- 1-2 years manufacturing environmental experience.
- Proficiency in English required
Nice To Haves
- Bi-Lingual – Spanish is a plus
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and floors.
- Empty and sanitize trash and recycling bins.
- Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors throughout the facility.
- Clean and disinfect common areas such as lunchrooms, break areas, and offices.
- Dust and wipe down surfaces in offices, meeting rooms, and workstations.
- Restock supplies, including toilet paper, paper towels, and soap.
- Clean windows and glass surfaces.
- Respond promptly to spills and clean them safely.
- Perform minor maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs.
- Monitor the facility and report any maintenance or repair needs.
- Follow plant Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Assist other employees with specific tasks as requested.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
