Requirements

• Able to read and communicate effectively in English
• Can work assigned schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Have basic math knowledge
• Have a demonstrated work history
• Are able to work confidently in a fast-paced environment
• Able to meet physical demands required for the position (stand, walk, bend, stoop and climb; able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to work in cold environments and around moving equipment; good visual acuity with ability to distinguish colors
• Able to operate material handling equipment

Responsibilities

• Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the facility.
• Performs variety of cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces.
• Responsible for disposing waste and waste segregation in accordance with recycling programs.
• Maintains records of cleaning activities.
• Operates cleaning equipment, including ride-on sweeper/scrubbers, walk-behind scrubbers and pallet jacks.
• Ensures proper use of cleaning chemicals, storage and supply.
• Completes daily Powered Industrial Truck Inspection, ensuring safe operation and reporting any concerns to maintenance personnel or shift supervisor.
• Understands and follows Good Manufacturing Practices, Saputo's food safety, quality programs and regulatory requirements.
• Promptly reports all potential quality, food safety, and workplace safety hazards to management team.
• Attends and participates in all required training, shift meetings and committees.
