About The Position

This role is responsible for the daily upkeep of the property office and common areas of property buildings. The Janitor will clean and prepare vacant units for new residents, perform minor repairs, and maintain the cleanliness of hallways, glass doors, window areas, restrooms, and trash containers. The position also involves walking the grounds to pick up litter and ensuring janitorial equipment and closets are kept clean, organized, and safe. Adherence to safety procedures, including OSHA standards, and company policies is required.

Requirements

• Must have experience in grounds or janitorial work
• Must be trustworthy and dependable
• Must be able to perform light maintenance work
• Ability to maintain janitorial equipment in a clean, safe, and operable condition.
• Must have a valid driver’s license (noted for sites with motorized vehicles)

Nice To Haves

• General knowledge of janitorial and building maintenance a plus
• During winter months responsible for snow and ice removal and be available for on call (if applicable)

Responsibilities

• Clean hallways, glass doors and window areas, restrooms, empty trash containers, and light office cleaning.
• Clean and prepare vacant units for new residents and perform minor repairs.
• Walk the grounds picking up paper, trash, etc.
• Responsible for the daily upkeep of the property office and common areas of property buildings.
• Adhere to dress code as established by management.
• Use protective equipment when necessary and follow safety procedures.
• Be aware of and always operate within OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Act) standards and company safety policies.
• Maintain janitor closets in a clean, organized, and safe manner.
• Other duties assigned by a supervisor.
