About The Position

The Janitor position is responsible for the general cleaning and sanitization of each department, ensuring they are maintained and in good condition. This role involves cleaning and supplying designated areas and equipment, including sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing floors, walls, and sinks. The Janitor will also be responsible for cleaning up spills, collecting and disposing of trash, and performing routine inspection and maintenance activities. Additionally, the Janitor will notify management of any deficiencies or repair needs and complete tasks efficiently with minimal supervision. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

Candidates must be 18+ years or older
Complete a pre-employment background check
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
Able to work safely with a variety of cleaning supplies
Able to use basic cleaning equipment

Responsibilities

General cleaning and sanitization of each department while keeping them maintained and in good condition.
Clean and supply designated areas and equipment (sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning, etc.)
Sweep, mop and sanitize floors. Scrub, wash and sanitize walls and sinks.
Clean up spills with appropriate equipment.
Collect and dispose of trash.
Notify store management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs.
Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities.
Complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
Perform other duties as assigned.
