About The Position

This is a temporary position responsible for the general cleaning of non-production areas, including hallways, offices, restrooms, and break areas. It excludes bathrooms located downstairs within the production area. The role involves tasks such as dusting, mopping, vacuuming, stripping and waxing of floors, and trash collection and removal to onsite dumpsters. The position requires the ability to climb stairs, tolerate standing/walking for the duration of the shift, lift 40 or more pounds repetitively, use both arms above and below shoulder level, and perform occasional kneeling, bending, and twisting at the waist. The janitor must also be able to work in areas with strong smells, cold, wet, or damp conditions. On-the-job training is provided, and candidates must be trained on Blood Borne Pathogens. The role also requires performing other duties as tasked by administration.

Requirements

6 months of work history in the last 12 months, documented within the application's work history and/or resume.
Ability to understand labels, read recipes, and follow instructions.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Must be able to climb up and down stairs.
Must be able to tolerate standing/walking for the duration of the shift.
Must be able to lift 40 or more pounds repetitively throughout the shift.
Must be able to use both arms above and below shoulder level as needed.
Occasional kneeling, bending, and twisting at waist are required.
Ability to work in areas that have strong smells, cold, wet or damp.
Must wear Personal Protective Equipment: gloves, ear protection (plugs or muffs), hair bonnet and beard guard if going to production area.

Candidates that have worked for Tyson Foods or Tyson Affiliates 3 or more times will not be eligible for rehire.
Rehires are subject to a 91-day wait period.
