About The Position
NMS in Ambler, AK is looking to hire a full-time, part-time & on-call School Janitor - Cleaner. This custodial position earns a competitive wage – starting at $19.50/HR DOE. Part-time and full-time employees are eligible for Federal Employee Health Benefits (FEHB).
Requirements
- At least 6 months of experience that demonstrates a working knowledge of cleaning equipment and general cleaning processes.
- The ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, callouts, etc.
- Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.
- Reliable, efficient, self-motivated, and eager to do a good job.
- A positive, can-do attitude.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- A valid driver's license with a 3-year driving record that is acceptable to the company’s insurance carrier
- Work well both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Dusting, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, sanitizing, restocking rooms, or doing other janitorial work.
- Remove the trash and transport it to the appropriate areas.
- Help out with light maintenance tasks like changing light bulbs.
