About The Position

This is an on-call janitorial position serving the Inglewood and Culver City locations. The role requires a high level of cleanliness and attention to detail, with the goal of maintaining 95% standards of cleanliness within assigned tasks. The ideal candidate will live in the service area and possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. The position involves following all building entry and exit rules, utilizing various cleaning products and equipment, and reporting any hazards or maintenance needs. The pay rate is $20.00/hour + $5.09/hour H&W.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent.
1 year of experience in progressively responsible housekeeping/sanitation or other work that applies knowledge and skills to perform the position.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Ability to pass background checks and drug test.
Must be physically able to perform all duties and tasks.
Must be free of communicable diseases.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of janitorial methods, practices, materials, tools, occupational hazards, and safety precautions of the janitorial work.
Qualified janitor/cleaner with a high level of cleanliness and attention to detail.
Preference will be given to qualified Ahtna Native Corporation Shareholders, Descendents, and Spouses.

Responsibilities

Follow all rules and regulations relative to entering and leaving the building.
Utilize cleaning products, chemicals, vacuums, mops, wringers, dust tools, and floor machines.
Use equipment such as ladders.
Report fires, hazardous conditions, and items in need of repair (e.g., dead lights, leaking faucets, toilet stoppages).
Empty and clean wastebaskets.
Clean, disinfect, and polish water fountains.
Replenish supplies.
Perform spot cleaning.
Vacuum all carpets.
Sweep and mop all hard floors.
Wipe clean all window blinds and sills.
Clean interior windows.
Shampoo carpets.
Perform floor maintenance including stripping, scrubbing, rinsing, waxing, buffing, and sealing.
Perform high dusting and cleaning.
