About The Position

As a Janitor, you will provide janitorial/custodial services for government building located in Louisville, Kentucky. This role involves adhering to cleaning schedules, keeping assigned work areas clean, performing heavy cleaning duties, organizing custodial closets, and maintaining the working condition of cleaning equipment. Other duties as assigned will also be part of the responsibilities.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the US

Responsibilities

• Adhering to cleaning schedules (daily, weekly, monthly, and/or yearly) for identified buildings, to include bathrooms, common areas, offices, outside perimeter areas, etc.
• Keeping assigned work areas in a clean and orderly condition
• Performing heavy cleaning duties such as cleaning floors and shampooing rugs
• Organizing custodial closets and spaces
• Maintaining working condition of cleaning equipment
• Performing other duties as assigned
• Space Cleaning
• Emptying Waste & Recycling Containers
• Low Area Cleaning – Maximum height of 7’-0” above floor level
• Special Cleaning – Includes fountains, sinks, kitchens, & coffee messes
• High Area Cleaning – Above 7’-0” from floor level
• Interior & Exterior Window Cleaning
• Window Blinds Cleaning
• Sweeping/Dust Mopping
• Vacuuming Carpets & Rugs
• Cleaning Walk-off Mats
• Spray Cleaning & Buffing
• Damp Mopping
• Stripping & Rewaxing
• Carpet and Rug Deep & Spot Cleaning
• Restroom Cleaning – Includes filling up supplies
• Perimeter Services – Remove debris & empty waste containers

Benefits

• Cash Health and Welfare benefit of $4.93 per hour.
