Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor to maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for our facility. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, follows safety standards, and ensures spaces are welcoming for employees, clients, and visitors.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• GED or High school diploma
• This is a physically demanding job requiring the ability to lift 40+ pounds, to grip, work over head, pull at chest height, bend, stand, walk, squat, kneel, crawl, push, pull, reach, climb and carry various materials and equipment.
• Experienced verifiable employment in commercial, industrial, or manufacturing environments working in the janitorial field.
• We are a 2nd Chance employer.

Nice To Haves

• Previous janitorial or custodial experience.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals safely.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 50 lbs., and perform repetitive tasks.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing.
• Clean and restock restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
• Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and report inventory needs.
• Perform minor maintenance tasks as needed (changing light bulbs, reporting repairs).
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Respond promptly to cleaning requests and emergencies.
• Works in a safe manner following all safety policies while performing job duties.
• Maintains open communication with supervisor regarding safety concerns.
• Maintains a good attendance record and proactively communicates and coordinates with supervisors regarding attendance.
• Maintains and keeps tools, machinery, and work area clean and organized.
• Performs various other job duties as assigned and needed.
