About The Position

The Janitor will be responsible for cleaning and stocking designated building areas at multiple facilities, ensuring all health and safety regulations are followed. This role involves maintaining a safe and clean work environment, performing various cleaning tasks, stocking supplies, and documenting inspections. The Janitor will also utilize Lean manufacturing tools and organize materials according to 6S standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is required.
• 6 months of previous janitorial experience preferred.
• Willingness to work early morning or late night shifts.
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision.
• Capacity to take direction.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Physically capable of lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds as necessary.
• Occasional travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean work environment.
• Address any unsafe conditions or behaviors with a supervisor.
• Clean designated building areas including, but not limited to offices, break rooms, restrooms, common areas, supply rooms, and storage areas.
• Cleaning tasks include, but are not limited to dust, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, windows, garbage, washing surfaces and appliances.
• Stock and maintain supply rooms and areas.
• Perform and document routine inspection and cleaning checklist.
• Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects.
• Notify management of any defects, needed repairs, or supply requests.
• Follow all health and safety regulations.
• Utilize Lean manufacturing tools to deliver results.
• Organize materials according to 6S standards.
• Perform other related and non-related duties as assigned through on-the-job training.
