About The Position
This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of airport terminal areas, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for passengers and staff. The Janitor will perform a variety of cleaning tasks, follow safety procedures, and report any facility concerns.
Requirements
- Ability to follow proper procedures for handling cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Ability to follow all airport safety, security, and company policies
- Ability to maintain professionalism while working in passenger-facing environments
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize airport terminal areas, including restrooms, seating areas, gates, hallways, and public spaces
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners throughout assigned areas
- Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors to maintain cleanliness standards
- Replenish restroom supplies such as soap, paper towels, and tissue
- Clean spills and respond promptly to cleanliness or safety hazards
- Maintain cleanliness of high-touch surfaces such as handrails, counters, and door handles
- Follow proper procedures for handling cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or facility concerns to supervisors
- Support deep cleaning tasks as scheduled or assigned
- Follow all airport safety, security, and company policies
- Assist with cleaning support during high-traffic periods or special events
- Maintain professionalism while working in passenger-facing environments
- Perform other duties as requested
