About The Position

Performs general cleaning and basic upkeep of common areas and office spaces throughout the facility, including restrooms and windows. This role involves completing daily cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, wiping surfaces, cleaning windows, and emptying trash bins. The Janitor is also responsible for maintaining restrooms and common areas to cleanliness standards, performing minor maintenance tasks like changing light bulbs and addressing minor leaks, and reporting major maintenance issues to management. Additionally, the position requires inspecting common areas to identify damage, hazards, or repair needs and reporting these findings to the management team. Safety and compliance are paramount, requiring adherence to all company safety procedures, safe use of chemicals and equipment, wearing required PPE, and operating machinery safely. The role also involves keeping common areas free from hazards, reporting hazards and incidents immediately, participating in safety trainings, and maintaining clean work areas to prevent accidents. Continuous improvement of safety practices and awareness of surroundings are expected. Hepatitis vaccinations may be required in compliance with legal requirements. Responsibilities

  • Complete daily cleaning tasks, including: Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors
  • Dusting and wiping surfaces
  • Cleaning windows
  • Emptying trash bins and replacing liners
  • Maintain restrooms and common areas to cleanliness standards.
  • Perform minor maintenance tasks, such as: Changing light bulbs
  • Addressing minor leaks (when appropriate)
  • Reporting major maintenance issues to management
  • Inspect common areas to identify damage, hazards, or repair needs and report findings to the management team.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and as directed.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Operate machinery and equipment safely.
  • Keep common areas free from hazards, including: Wet floors
  • Cluttered walkways
  • Report hazards, near misses, injuries, and accidents immediately.
  • Participate in required safety trainings and drills.
  • Maintain clean work areas to help prevent accidents.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of safety practices and demonstrate awareness of surroundings to protect self and others.
  • Receive Hepatitis vaccinations in compliance with legal requirements (as applicable).
  • Complete work assignments by prioritizing tasks and using available policies, data, and resources.
  • Collaborate effectively with managers, coworkers, customers, and business partners to clarify priorities, deadlines, and expectations.
  • Communicate progress and relevant information in a timely manner.
