About The Position

ESFM is hiring a temporary, full-time Janitor for an anticipated two-month assignment at its North East, Maryland location. Day and overnight shifts are available. The Janitor keeps buildings clean and orderly, performs heavy cleaning duties, and helps maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff. No experience is required; training is provided.

Responsibilities

Collect and dispose of trash according to approved procedures and infection control plans.
Dust and damp-mop floors according to approved procedures.
Move equipment and furniture to clean properly, then return furniture to its correct placement.
Clean assigned areas using assigned materials and equipment, and sanitize surfaces while following the eight-step cleaning procedure.
Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment.
Identify areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete the work.
Complete tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Perform tasks in accordance with federal, state, and county guidelines.
Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish floors; shampoo carpet.
Contribute to the team and act professionally with customers, coworkers, and others.
Perform other duties as assigned.
