About The Position

A Janitor is responsible for keeping the workplace clean, organized, and disinfected. The role includes cleaning building interiors and maintaining floors, carpets, rugs, windows, walls, furniture, restrooms, and other work areas. The position also involves replenishing supplies, managing cleaning-supply inventory, reporting unsafe or maintenance-related conditions, and documenting completed cleaning and inspections. The employee must follow safety procedures and be able to lift up to 50 pounds. This position requires availability Monday to Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. The employee may occasionally work near moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather conditions, electrical-shock risks, and vibration. The noise level is usually moderate. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. The position is subject to a background check and Live Scan fingerprinting in accordance with California law. Requirements

Availability Monday to Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.

Responsibilities

Clean building interiors, including floors, carpets, rugs, windows, walls, and general areas.
Vacuum, sweep, and mop offices, rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, elevators, stairs, locker rooms, and other work areas.
Remove stains from chairs and upholstered furniture.
Dust furniture, lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and moldings.
Empty, clean, and maintain trash cans and ashtrays.
Disinfect commonly used items such as desks, door handles, office tools, and phones.
Clean and maintain restrooms and replenish supplies in restrooms and other required areas.
Wash and clean windows and mirrors.
Empty trash and recycling containers into the disposal area.
Remove trash and snow from sidewalks when necessary.
Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and request missing materials from supervisors when applicable.
Notify supervisors about unsafe conditions or conditions requiring maintenance.
Maintain a cleaning chart showing areas cleaned and inspected.
Follow safety and precaution rules.
Close doors at the end of the night shift.
