About The Position

The Janitor / Utility role supports material handling and ground maintenance, along with other multitasking duties. The position helps maintain personal and coworker safety, supports production lines with supplies, performs facility and grounds upkeep, and handles equipment and freight tasks.

Responsibilities

• Promote personal safety and coworker safety as part of the safety program.
• Dump steel scrap and trash dumpsters.
• Load and unload trucks carrying various freight.
• Maintain weekly inventories of welding supplies and other items.
• Supply Joist and Deck lines with weld wire and paint trailer dunnage.
• Perform lawn mowing and other ground maintenance.
• Remove snow.
• Use mobile equipment, including forklifts and tractors.
• Make parts runs and pick up or drop off equipment for repairs with outside vendors as needed.
• Perform welding lead repair.
• Supply production lines with water, Gatorade, and ice during summer months.
