About The Position

This role is responsible for monitoring aisles for damage and spillage, removing damaged cases, and thoroughly cleaning any spills. The Janitor Utility Helper will also be responsible for emptying garbage cans, ensuring all equipment is properly stored at the end of the shift, and preparing waste for recycling or disposal. The position requires adherence to all safety policies and procedures, and the individual must remain on duty until their assigned area is clean and all selecting is complete. Other related duties as assigned by management are also part of this role.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Ability to work with approved cleaning chemicals.
Satisfactory performance reviews.

Responsibilities

Monitor each aisle in area of responsibility for damage and spillage.
Remove damaged cases to the damage area.
Tape damaged cases and return them to the working slot if the product is intact.
Thoroughly mop any spillage, including moving pallets to clean the area underneath.
Address any spillage or unsanitary condition anywhere within the assigned area.
Empty garbage cans as needed.
Lock all equipment in the supply room at the end of the shift.
Empty and rinse out mop buckets and garbage cans.
Place all cardboard in the baler.
Place all plastic and other garbage in the compactor.
Remain on the floor until all selecting is done and the assigned area is properly cleaned.
Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and best practices.
Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
