About The Position
The Bear Valley Resort team is looking to fill the position for a janitor and light maintenance employee. This position is responsible for the general cleanliness, light maintenance and repairs around the Bear Valley Ski Lodge as well as assistance in the set up and take down of event equipment when required, and snow removal around the facility in winter. Full Time and Part Time positions available.
Requirements
- Able to follow instruction and complete tasks with little supervision
- Able to work independently
- Able to stand for long periods of time, lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds
- Must have personal transportation to and from work
- Strong communication skills over radio, direct employee and customer interaction
- Friendly and helpful demeanor
- Awareness of all safe skiing procedures, trail closures, and out-of-bounds policies of the mountain.
Responsibilities
- Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
- Clean windows and mirrors
- Clean and supply restrooms
- Remove waste and empty trash
- Maintain cleaning chart indicating areas that were cleaned and inspected
- Replenish cleaning and maintenance supplies
- Organize janitorial storage areas
- Assist with base area snow removal from entry ways, stairs etc.
- Assist with special event setup and tear down
- Light lodge maintenance and repair duties
- Notify supervisors about unsafe conditions or concerning the need for repairs or maintenance
- Other duties as assigned
