About The Position

SSC Services for Education is hiring a full-time Janitor Lead at Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona. The role performs administrative tasks, trains custodial team members, and oversees training activities. The Janitor Lead serves as a resource on cleaning methods, materials, and heavy commercial cleaning equipment. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, with hours that may vary; additional schedule details are provided during the interview. The advertised pay rate is $17.40 per hour.

Requirements

Prior custodial experience.
Prior leadership experience.

Responsibilities

Conduct classroom and hands-on training on customer service, safety, compliance, and company policies.
Provide one-on-one training as needed.
Update and provide training on janitorial equipment, personal protective equipment (PPE), and chemical use and safety.
Copy and revise training materials as needed and perform administrative tasks as requested.
Provide feedback on new associates during their orientation period and review trainee records for successful compliance.
Recommend disciplinary action to the training coordinator as appropriate.
Conduct reviews, including monthly safety performance reviews, to ensure compliance with OSHA, Risk Management, and applicable company, federal, state, and local requirements and policies.
Perform building walk-through inspections as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
