About The Position

Austin Industrial is hiring a Janitor Journeyman to ensure buildings are tidy, clean, and well-maintained. The role includes routine cleaning and upkeep, maintaining cleaning supplies and equipment, and helping secure premises after hours. Applicants must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States; Austin Industrial cannot sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position.

Requirements

• Previous janitorial or custodial experience in the industrial industry.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on foot for extended periods.
• Knowledge of safe chemical handling and cleaning procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Any photo ID is acceptable.
• Must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States; visa sponsorship is unavailable.

Responsibilities

• Comply with company safety policies and procedures.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.
• Wax furniture and clean fixtures.
• Dispose of trash and empty trash receptacles.
• Keep buildings free from indoor pests.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning agents and equipment.
• Ensure equipment and lights are switched off and premises are locked after hours.
• Collaborate with contract cleaning services.
• Maintain regular attendance, timeliness, and scheduling flexibility.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
