About The Position

Perform a variety of cleaning, sanitation, and janitorial tasks that support the facility. This role involves following and committing to Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for safety, quality, production, efficiency, and service requirements. The day-to-day responsibilities include vacuuming, sweeping, mopping floors, thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing common spaces and touch points in lunchrooms, break rooms, bathrooms, and conference rooms. The role also includes replenishing supplies, informing supervisors of low inventory, emptying trash, and dusting/cleaning glass surfaces. Additional duties may include cleaning and sanitizing production equipment and areas, cleaning trenches, picking up and removing scrap, dust, and other debris from production areas, collecting trash from production areas, and assisting facilities maintenance with simple tasks such as changing light bulbs, hanging items, picking up and removing debris, and removing snow/ice and salting common walk areas.

Requirements

Ability to observe, follow, understand, and evaluate processes demonstrated and other workplace procedures.
Ability to meet safety and quality standards.
Ability to work independently.
Demonstration of minimum proficiency with the English language in order to ensure effective new hire training and on-going communications about safety and quality issues.

Nice To Haves

Experience using cleaning equipment and tools.
Experience using cleaning chemicals and solvents.
Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets.

Responsibilities

Follow and commit to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for safety, quality, production, efficiency, and service requirements.
Follow practices and processes intended to provide safe products that comply with appropriate laws and regulations, meet the company quality standards.
Follow and commit to safety and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
Vacuum, sweep and mop floors.
Thoroughly clean and sanitize common spaces and touch points in lunchrooms, break rooms, bathrooms and conference rooms.
Replenish supplies as needed.
Inform supervisor of low supply inventory.
Empty trash.
Dust and clean glass surfaces as needed.
Clean and sanitize production equipment and areas.
Clean trenches.
Pickup, collect and remove scrap, dust, and other debris from production area.
Collect trash from production areas and empty containers at the end of the shift.
Assist facilities maintenance with simple maintenance responsibilities such as changing light bulbs, hanging items, picking up and removing internal or external debris, removing snow or ice and salting common walk area.
