About The Position

Continental Management has a full-time Janitor position available at an apartment community in Royal Oak, MI. To work with the maintenance staff and under the supervision of the Community Manager in assisting with the upkeep and general cleanliness of the physical property.

Requirements

Candidates must have a valid driver's license
a dependable vehicle
pass a criminal background check

Responsibilities

Ensuring that building interiors remain clean. Building interiors include: hallways, vestibules, stairwells, laundry room/offices/community rooms, shop/janitorial closets, mechanical rooms/storage spaces, all fixtures/equipment, windows and sills, blinds/drapes/carpets.
Remove all graffiti from premises.
Keep walkways and grounds free of debris.
Sweep, dust, mop, vacuum and clean floors and building interiors as scheduled.
Participate in stand-by emergency schedule for holidays, evenings or weekend coverage.
Handle all trash removal on premises and inspect all common areas for rubbish.
Assist supervisor in renovation of vacant units as needed.
Complete all service request as assigned by the supervisor.
Prepare lists of janitorial supplies needed.
Perform grounds work as assigned.
Deliver notices and newsletters as required.
Other tasks/special projects as assigned.
This position requires that the individual be willing and able to work in areas necessary for the proper up-keep of the property, the extent of which to be determined by supervisors, based on the staffing available at any given time.
