About The Position

The Janitor / Housekeeper is responsible for performing a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing. This role ensures all rooms are cared for and inspected according to standards, and protects equipment while ensuring no inadequacies. The individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, adhering to company policies including attendance and punctuality, and communicating courteously and professionally with co-workers, management, and others. The position requires conforming with all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions, including confidentiality requirements. This is a full-time position on the 1st Shift in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Cleans break area: empties trash cans, wipes down tables, keeps chairs clean, sweeps and mops floor, wipes off vending machines.
• Cleans bathrooms, fills towel, tissue, soap and sanitary napkin dispenser.
• Cleans water fountains.
• Sweeps stairwells.
• Vacuums lobby and plant offices.
• Sweeps and mops knitting and seaming departments or finishing department.
• Adhere to company policies, including attendance and punctuality.
• Communicate with co-workers, management and others in a courteous and professional manner.
• Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions including but not limited to confidentiality requirements.
