About The Position

The Janitor/Housekeeper performs day-to-day housekeeping functions as assigned at a skilled nursing facility. The role is on call and reports to the Housekeeping Supervisor. The position supports a clean, safe, comfortable, and attractive environment for residents and requires maintaining a friendly, helpful rapport while protecting residents’ confidentiality and rights. The employee may also cross-train to provide backup to the Laundry Department when needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day housekeeping functions as assigned.
• Cross-train to back up the Laundry Department when needed.
• Complete specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments.
• Maintain assigned work areas in a clean, safe, comfortable, and attractive manner.
• Adhere to current regulations governing nursing facilities.
• Develop a friendly, helpful rapport with residents.
• Maintain the confidentiality and rights of all residents.
