About The Position

The Janitor Exterior is responsible for the cleaning of assigned areas to include bathrooms, floors, grounds, and maintenance of equipment used for cleaning service in and around the galley. This role involves ensuring all assigned areas are kept clean and sanitary, including restrooms, floors, and grounds. The position also requires the maintenance of cleaning equipment and adherence to safety and sanitation procedures.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Valid Driver's License is preferred.
Minimum of one year of work experience in a commercial janitorial setting is preferred.
Sanitation license is preferred.
Must be able to furnish own transportation to travel from site to site.
Real ID or Current Passport.

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize restrooms, including walls, mirrors, toilets, urinals, and mopping floors.
Replenish hand soap and paper products in restrooms.
Empty all restroom garbage containers.
Set up cleaning cart with all supplies and equipment necessary to clean restrooms.
Empty garbage cans and remove cardboard boxes from the kitchen area.
Transport garbage bags and cardboard to outside dumpsters and trash compactor.
Maintain cleanliness of the back dock area by sweeping and mopping.
Mop hallway.
Clean and sanitize areas after bodily fluid spills following established standards for handling blood borne pathogen spills.
Removal of snow and operation of snow removal equipment.
Follow proper sanitation and established safety procedures at all times and wear personal protective equipment as required.
Report all defective equipment to the appropriate supervisor.
Follow safety procedures and report safety hazards to the appropriate supervisor.
Knowledge and ability to use a pallet jack.
Clean floors and hallways with a motorized floor machine.
Other duties as assigned.
