About The Position

CW Resources is seeking a Janitor/Custodian to join their team. This is a part-time position located in Chicago, IL. The role involves maintaining cleanliness and safety in various commercial settings. A security clearance is required for the primary worksite and assistance will be provided throughout the process.

Requirements

• Follows all safety procedures and uses personal protective equipment (PPE) properly.
• Dependable team player who can follow directions and communicate clearly.

• Eager to learn and grow within the role—no experience necessary!
• Obtaining and maintaining the appropriate Security Clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Checking in with supervisor and teammates, reviewing the cleaning schedule and tasks for the day.
• Gathering cleaning supplies, tools, and equipment.
• Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
• Emptying trash bins and replacing liners, recycling responsibly.
• Cleaning restrooms, restocking supplies, and sanitizing surfaces.
• Dusting furniture, fixtures, and vents.
• Wiping down windows, mirrors, and glass doors.
• Spot-cleaning walls and removing stains or marks.
• Performing a final walkthrough to ensure spaces are clean, organized, and welcoming.
• Restocking cleaning carts.
• Reporting any maintenance issues.
• Communicating with the supervisor about site-specific notes or concerns.
• Returning equipment and supplies to the storage area and preparing for the next day.
