About The Position

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented part-time Janitor to maintain a clean, sanitary, and welcoming environment for our facility. This position requires 4 to 5 hours of work daily, focusing on routine cleaning, waste management, and facility upkeep. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, can work independently, and possesses a strong eye for cleanliness.

Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, maneuver heavy cleaning machinery, and lift up to [e.g., 30–50 lbs] throughout a 4-to-5-hour shift.
• Strong punctual attendance habits and a proven track record of dependability.
• Ability to complete the daily task checklist efficiently with minimal supervision.
• A sharp eye for spots, smudges, and areas requiring extra attention.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in janitorial, custodial, or commercial cleaning work is preferred.
• Experience operating motorized floor cleaning machines is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Mop hard surface floors, vacuum rugs/mats, and safely operate an industrial floor cleaning machine (scrubber/buffer) to maintain high-traffic walkways.
• Monitor and change trash bags throughout the facility during the day as needed; safely dispose of trash and recyclables in designated dumpsters.
• Thoroughly clean, disinfect, and restock all facility restrooms (sinks, toilets, mirrors, and fixtures).
• Wipe down and smudge-proof glass doors, glass walls, and windows as needed.
• Keep track of cleaning supplies and notify management when inventory is running low.
• Follow all safety protocols, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals, safe handling of floor machinery, and displaying "wet floor" signs when necessary.
