About The Position
Southeast Airport Services is seeking dependable and hardworking Janitors/Cleaners to join our airport operations team at Orlando International Airport. This role is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and safety throughout airport facilities to ensure a positive experience for passengers, tenants, and staff. Work assignments may be indoors or outdoors depending on operational needs.
Requirements
- Ability to speak and understand basic English for safety and work instructions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Must be punctual and maintain regular attendance
- Flexibility to work varying schedules including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position due to operational airport staffing requirements.
- Valid government-issued identification.
- Valid Social Security card or employment authorization.
- Valid U.S. Passport or Birth Certificate.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required Airport Security Badge clearance.
- Must pass background check and drug screening.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Nice To Haves
- Prior janitorial or commercial cleaning experience preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, floors, and fixtures
- Maintain cleanliness of terminals, waiting areas, offices, and common spaces
- Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces such as door handles, railings, elevator buttons, counters, and seating
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and remove debris from floors, stairwells, escalators, elevators, and sidewalks
- Empty trash and recycling receptacles and ensure proper waste disposal
- Operate janitorial equipment including mops, vacuums, floor scrubbers, buffers, and pressure washers
- Safely handle and store cleaning chemicals and supplies
- Monitor supply levels and notify supervisors when replenishment is needed
- Report maintenance, safety hazards, or repair needs to management
- Provide courteous assistance to airport passengers when approached
- Follow all company, airport, OSHA, and sanitation safety procedures
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Janitorial Supervisor or Operations Manager
