About The Position

The Janitor and Maintenance Worker ensures a clean, safe, and well-maintained facility. The role performs daily custodial duties, routine building maintenance, and assists with repairs to support a functional and orderly work environment. The position works in a warehouse environment and involves using various types of equipment, including heavy machinery, forklifts, and computers. It requires light to heavy lifting and continuous sitting, standing, and walking.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic knowledge of hand tools and repair techniques.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, and climbing ladders.
Reliable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in janitorial or maintenance work.

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, offices, and common areas.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors and surfaces.
Empty trash and recycling bins regularly.
Restock paper products, hand soap, cleaning materials, and other supplies.
Clean windows, doors, and entryways as needed.
Perform general repairs, including changing light bulbs, fixing leaks, tightening fixtures, and patching walls.
Conduct routine facility and equipment inspections to identify maintenance needs.
Assist with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or mechanical repairs under supervision.
Assemble, move, or set up furniture and equipment as required.
Monitor and maintain the building exterior, including sidewalks, parking lots, and landscaped areas.
Follow safety protocols and use proper protective equipment.
Promptly report hazards, damages, and equipment malfunctions.
Maintain an inventory of cleaning and maintenance supplies.
