About The Position

KBR’s National Security Solutions team provides high-end engineering and advanced technology solutions to our customers in the intelligence and national security communities. In this position, your work will have a profound impact on the country’s most critical role – protecting our national security. KBR is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2) Operations Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join a dynamic, high-performing, multidisciplinary team of military domain SMEs, modelers, and analysts located in Northern Virginia. This team leverages advanced modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) tools and techniques to shape and inform Concept Exploration, Course of Action Analysis, and Operational Planning efforts for Department of War (DoW) stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 14+ years of operational military experience as a U.S. Air Force Air Battle Manager (ABM) or equivalent
  • Direct experience with operational planning and developing concepts of operation and courses of action in support of Joint or Service Component Operational Planning efforts
  • U.S. military Joint Qualified Officer (JQO) designation
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a small, high-performance team environment
  • Strong collaborative skills with experience working in expert-driven, multidisciplinary teams
  • TS/SCI Clearance is required

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 16+ years of operational military experience as a U.S. Air Force Air Battle Manager (ABM) or equivalent
  • Extensive experience planning at a combatant command or service component command
  • Experience supporting analytical studies of military operations
  • Experience with military exercises or wargames
  • 2+ years of experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) techniques and tools

Responsibilities

  • Apply expert knowledge of current and emerging battle management command and control (BMC2) concepts, Air or Integrated Tasking Orders (ATO or ITO), and related doctrinal concepts to support mission-level MS&A activities.
  • Develop BMC2 structures and concepts of operations (CONOPS) for use by modelers and other operational SMEs in the MS&A environment.
  • Drive innovation by bridging traditional operational planning and novel analytical approaches through creative and critical thinking.
  • Leverage deep understanding of joint, multi-domain military capabilities, BMC2 concepts, and employment frameworks to evaluate the execution of kill chains and kill webs.
  • Collect, analyze, and curate authoritative military information—including doctrine, planning materials, and capability documents—in a “smart” knowledge management environment that enables enterprise-wide insight and collaboration.
  • Translate doctrine, tactics, techniques, and procedures into actionable products to inform model, behavior, and simulation software development.
  • Deliver high-quality, high-impact written, visual, and analytical deliverables that inform senior decision-making.
  • Lead small teams or tasks in support of the broader overall effort.
