Department Profile International Wealth Management (IWM) is a division within Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management (PWM) that focuses on overseeing the business and key strategic efforts focused on servicing International clients, (i.e., clients residing outside the US, and booking assets at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney). IWM has been one of the largest growth business within WM over the last few years and a strategic focus of the firm. The IWM Service team enables front-office and client-facing professionals to deliver a high-quality client experience by providing operational, administrative, and service support across the end-to-end wealth management lifecycle. The team serves as a key partner to Advisors/Relationship Managers and internal stakeholders by helping ensure timely execution, risk-aware processing, and consistent service standards. In this role, the IWM Service Associate will:

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3-5 years in wealth management, top-tier management consulting, or financial services firm
  • Experience in financial services preferred, Wealth Management expertise a plus
  • International background a plus
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including collaborative work style and ability to influence stakeholders; experience working across teams and with senior leadership a plus
  • Detail and results-oriented individual
  • Strong team player, and high energy, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

  • Review and approve international account related modifications
  • Review and approve international related account opening
  • Review and approve outgoing wire transfers
  • Answer calls on ICPU hotline
  • Assist with compilation of metrics/reports on international business
  • Assist remediation of clients’ accounts in response to local law changes
  • Assist with coordination and content creation of international training
  • Assist in creating systematic controls to mitigate risks associated with international business
