IU Health Foundation is the fundraising organization that supports Indiana University Health hospitals statewide. Our mission is to leverage the power of philanthropy to support IU Health’s goal of making Indiana one of the nation’s healthiest states. This internship is offered to DePauw students only and provides an excellent introduction to the fields of healthcare, marketing, communications and nonprofit work in the largest healthcare system in Indiana. Our team is looking for a student with excellent communications, marketing, and project management skills who has an interest in philanthropy and/or healthcare. Our team will teach you about the healthcare philanthropy communication fundamentals, fundraising principals, marketing practices and other components of a top healthcare nonprofit. As Indiana’s second largest employer, the intern will have expansive opportunities to learn from some of the nation’s best professionals. The internship spans 10-12 weeks. Start and end dates are somewhat flexible. The intern is responsible for their own housing, transportation, and parking. The intern is expected to work in-person in the downtown Indianapolis office three days a week; two days a week can be in office or virtual. Prior to starting work, the intern will have to undergo a health screening, background/reference check, and onboarding session required by IU Health.
