About The Position
The Department of Transportation offers an exciting opportunity as an ITS Technician for individuals who enjoy technical challenges and hands-on work. Requirements
- An associate degree in surveying, drafting, designing, civil, or any other appropriate field of engineering technology.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within three months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
- Possession of a valid Class C driver's license.
- Must meet the PA residency requirement.
- Must be able to perform essential job functions.
Responsibilities
- Verify daily online status of ITS devices and document issue resolution
- Assist supervisor in preparing performance reports for ITS devices
- Obtain crowd-sourced information on speed and travel time, as well as provide reports
- Conduct initial reviews of proposed ITS device locations
- Support ITS inspections for construction and maintenance to ensure compliance
- Maintain and update diagrams and databases related to District fiber systems
