About The Position

Welocalize is seeking freelance translators with immediate availability to translate patents from Italian into English. The role requires strong experience in translating and proofreading patents, particularly in the fields of Electricity, Computer Science, Mechanics, and Medical Devices. The content types include Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, Electricity, Mechanics, and Pharmacy. The expected weekly volume is 2,500-5,000 words, and the CAT tool used is XTM. This is a remote, freelance position.

Requirements

• Minimum two years' experience translating and reviewing content in patent fields.
• Native fluency in English (target language).
• Degree in linguistics, translation, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to translate, copy edit, and perform Machine Translation Post-Editing (MTPE).

Nice To Haves

• Experience in translating patents specifically in the field of Electricity, Computer Science, Mechanics, and Medical Devices.
