The IT Technician role is responsible for assisting the technology department in the investigation, analysis, diagnosis, troubleshooting, and resolution of software and hardware related issues for both, systems, and end users. In addition to technical skills, this position must demonstrate a high level of initiative and provide exceptional service experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Performs administrative functions on the Club’s local area network, including user access, file management, resource sharing and system security. Answers, evaluates, and prioritizes incoming telephone, voice mail, email and in-person requests for assistance from users experiencing issues with hardware, software, networking, and other computer-related technologies. Setup user accounts and e-mail. Ensure all restaurant, kitchen, and retail technology such as Point of Sale, Receipt printers, etc. are running optimally. Handles problem recognition, research, isolation, resolution, and follow-up for routine user problems, referring more complex problems to IT Manager or Director of IT. Installs Polo Club authorized desktop or laptop computers, software, phones, and peripheral equipment. Assists with set-up of meetings and Club events according to the BEO ensuring that all required equipment such as computers, projectors, screens and audio/visual items are properly placed. Communicates with members, co-workers, management, and the general public in a courteous and professional demeanor to reflect a positive image of The Polo Club. Performs other duties as assigned by the IT Manager or Director of IT/AV.
