About The Position

The IT Technician will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to computer systems and networks. This includes creating and managing user accounts, installing software, performing basic hardware repairs, managing security systems, and providing technical support and training to staff. The role also involves traveling to different office locations within an 8-county area to set up equipment, troubleshoot issues, and provide support. Additionally, the technician will be responsible for analyzing data, creating reports, and maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Computer and typing skills
• Organization skills
• Ability to troubleshoot and maintain PCs
• Ability to install software
• Ability to manage network accounts
• Ability to provide computer support
• Ability to submit to and pass a criminal record check
• Ability to submit to and pass a drug screening test
• Ability to lift and carry PCs and small to medium laser printers
• Oral and written communication skills
• Typewriting and Computer skills
• Good organizational skills
• Ability to exercise good judgment, tact, diplomacy, and compassion
• Ability to complete job tasks in a timely fashion
• Ability to get along with diverse personalities and maintain effective working relationships

Responsibilities

• Creating network and email accounts using Microsoft Server and Microsoft Outlook.
• Installing software on PCs.
• Performing simple PC repairs, including replacing hard drives and upgrading memory.
• Managing network-wide anti-virus and web filter systems.
• Training staff on the use of new technology and offering support as needed.
• Creating and managing accounts in Windows Server, Outlook, and Lync.
• Traveling to offices in an 8-county area to set up PCs, troubleshoot networks, and provide support.
• Analyzing data and creating reports.
• Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
