About The Position

TSMC Washington is seeking an IT Technician to join their IT department. This role involves sustaining and recovering office and Fab IT systems for 24x7 factory operations. The technician will be the first-line responder for user issue escalations and system alerts, carrying an on-duty phone and laptop. A significant aspect of the role includes working inside a cleanroom environment on a 12-hour shift schedule.

Requirements

  • AS or AA in Technology/Engineering related field
  • 1-2 years Helpdesk, PC tech support, or network experience
  • Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Team player with flexibility, positive attitude, and open mind to learn new technologies
  • Must have legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Employment contingent on background check and drug screening (excludes cannabis).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct cabling and computer setup in a cleanroom manufacturing factory.
  • Perform first-line issue identification and recovery of the factory automation system following procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining and improving existing fully automated factory system functionalities by collaborating with engineers and users on system testing and upgrades.
  • Respond to helpdesk calls to assist internal users with questions and problems concerning computer systems, hardware, and software.
  • Support IT engineers on special projects and assignments.
