About The Position

The IT Technician will serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance. This role involves monitoring ticket queues for break/fix and request calls, providing timely and effective support for computer systems, software, hardware, and networking issues. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to customer satisfaction. This position offers an opportunity for growth, with a focus on acquiring the skills necessary to advance to Tier 2 support.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Basic understanding of computer systems, software, and hardware.
  • Familiarity with networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn and develop new technical skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a help desk or technical support role is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage ticket queues for incoming break/fix and request calls.
  • Provide first-level technical support to resolve queries related to computer systems, software, hardware, and networking.
  • Respond to customer inquiries in person, over the phone, or via remote connectivity.
  • Ensure all customer issues are followed up, providing feedback and ensuring problems are resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
  • Address and resolve technical problems related to Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and other system issues.
  • Install and configure computer peripherals for users.
  • Assist in the technical support and maintenance of voice systems.
  • Properly escalate unresolved technical issues to the next level of support.
  • Manage and maintain user statuses in Duo Authentication and Active Directory systems.
  • Participate in a rotation to provide technical support to remote offices as needed.
