About The Position

By designing, coordinating, and executing the installation and configuration of complex enterprise software systems, you help drive BWXT’s mission to apply smart, secure technology that solves business challenges and elevates the customer experience. As a seasoned IT Technical Project Analyst with deep expertise in enterprise applications, you’ll play a key role in administering, installing, configuring, customizing, and integrating the business‑critical systems that support BWXT’s operations. You’ll also take the lead in planning, coordinating, and organizing the activities that keep BWXT’s enterprise‑level applications running reliably and efficiently — ensuring these solutions align with our strategic goals and deliver meaningful impact across the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, plus a minimum of 6 years of directly relevant, hands-on experience OR; High school diploma/equivalent, plus a minimum of 10 years of directly relevant, hands-on experience.
• Comprehensive professional experience working in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Technical proficiency in a windows environment, including: Experience working with Microsoft Windows Servers 2022, or greater.
• Technical Expertise - Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft SQL Server, Web architectures – IIS/WebSphere configuration.
• Previous experience installing and managing enterprise software.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or on a team.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy Q clearance.

Responsibilities

• Define and guide the work performed by the software development team to support integrations with custom in‑house applications.
• Perform client testing, server patching, and deployment activities.
• Coordinate and collaborate with business application stakeholders and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth upgrades, installations, and integration efforts.
• Partner with third‑party vendors, internal development teams, and product owners to align on technical needs and delivery.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently.
• Document procedures for installation, upgrades, and customizations.
• Develop clear technical documentation, including architecture guides, diagrams, functional specifications, and security configurations.
• Build and test solutions within formal test, QA, and UAT environments prior to implementation.
