About The Position

The IT Team Lead will oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of robust security and network protocols. This role requires a proactive individual skilled in managing both cybersecurity and network infrastructure. You will manage IT vendors for risk assessments, perform incident response, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations. Utilizing tools like Microsoft Defender, Intune, Azure, and Entra you will maintain a secure environment across end-user devices and networks, monitor for potential threats, and implement preventive measures. Additionally, you will lead the IT team, train staff, and collaborate with other departments to address and uphold security standards across the organization. This role plays a critical part in safeguarding our systems and data while maintaining seamless network operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in network administration with expertise in Azure and Google Cloud platforms
  • Experience with network security protocols, such as firewalls, VPNs, Wireless, etc.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex network related issues
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong people skills with the ability to act as tier 1-2 tech support

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain security policies and procedures that align with industry best practices.
  • Work with and manage vendors who conduct risk and vulnerability assessments to identify risk areas and recommend mitigation tactics.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure security standards are in place with new and current technologies.
  • Utilize Azure and Microsoft environments to monitor, maintain, and prevent any issues regarding data security and compliance.
  • Utilize Microsoft Defender, Intune, and Entra to maintain a strong security posture among end user endpoints.
  • Conduct incident response procedures to analyze and mitigate cybersecurity threats.
  • Conduct post-incident investigations by creating detailed reports and remediation solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and internal security requirements.
  • Maintain security and integrity of all domains and websites using external tools and services.
  • Implement, maintain, and troubleshoot all incoming/outgoing emails using Microsoft Exchange and Barracuda Email Gateway for encrypted emails with sensitive information.
  • Support the lab networks and PBX server as needed or manage the vendors that are doing so.
  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network connected equipment in the cloud and on-premise. (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Switches, Access Points, File Servers, NAS devices, etc.)
  • Analyze network traffic to identify abnormalities and prevent breaches.
  • Ensure data backup and recovery procedures are reliable to mitigate potential data loss.
  • Configure and maintain the Blue Iris camera systems in all offices.
  • Guide the internal IT team to ensure all processes and procedures are up to company and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments and vendors to address security and network requirements.
  • Conducting training and awareness programs to educate employees about security best practices.
